บริษัท การบินกรุงเทพ จำกัด (มหาชน) หรือสายการบินบางกอกแอร์เวย์ส (BA) ประกาศผลการดำเนินงานของบริษัทฯ ใน 9 เดือนแรกของปี 2558 บริษัทฯ มีรายได้รวมอยู่ที่ 18,661.3 ล้านบาท เพิ่มขึ้นร้อยละ 14.8 เมื่อเทียบกับช่วงเดียวกันของปีที่แล้ว โดยมีกำไรสุทธิเท่ากับ 1,779.7 ล้านบาท เพิ่มขึ้นร้อยละ 1,024.3
จากการเปิดเผยของ นายพุฒิพงศ์ ปราสาททองโอสถ กรรมการผู้อำนวยการใหญ่ บริษัท การบินกรุงเทพ จำกัด (มหาชน) ถึงผลการดำเนินงานของบริษัทฯ ในไตรมาสที่ 3 ปี 2558 ว่า “รายได้รวมของบริษัทฯ ในไตรมาสสามอยู่ที่ 6,364 ล้านบาท เพิ่มขึ้นร้อยละ 20.4 เมื่อเทียบกับช่วงเดียวกันของปีก่อน มีกำไรสุทธิ 590.8 ล้านบาท เพิ่มขึ้นร้อยละ 1,370.5 เมื่อเทียบกับช่วงเดียวกันของปีที่แล้ว โดยเป็นกำไรสุทธิที่เป็นส่วนของผู้ถือหุ้นของบริษัทฯ เท่ากับ 578.6 ล้านบาท กำไรต่อหุ้นอยู่ที่ 0.28 บาทต่อหุ้น ทั้งนี้ ผลการดำเนินงานที่ดีขึ้นของบริษัทฯ เป็นผลมาจากราคาบัตรโดยสารเฉลี่ยและจำนวนผู้โดยสารที่เพิ่มขึ้นเป็นหลัก โดยมีอัตราการเติบโตของผู้โดยสารในไตรมาสที่ 3 ของปี 2558 อยู่ที่ร้อยละ 12 โดยมีจำนวนผู้โดยสารในไตรมาสที่ 3 ทั้งสิ้น 1.3 ล้านคน โดยมีปริมาณการขนส่งผู้โดยสารเฉลี่ยร้อยละ 67.6 เพิ่มขึ้น 4.9 จุด เมื่อเทียบกับช่วงเดียวกันของปีก่อน ซึ่งส่งผลให้ผลประกอบการ 9 เดือนแรกของปี 2558 ของบริษัทฯ มีรายได้รวม 18,661.3 ล้านบาท เพิ่มสูงขึ้นจากช่วงเดียวกันของปี 2557 จำนวน 2,400.5 ล้านบาท หรือร้อยละ 14.8 และมีกำไรสุทธิ 1,779.7 ล้านบาท เพิ่มสูงขึ้นจากช่วงเดียวกันของปี 2557 จำนวน 1,621.4 ล้านบาท หรือร้อยละ 1,024.3 โดยมีจำนวนผู้โดยสารทั้งสิ้น 3.8 ล้านคน โดยตลาดที่มีอัตราการเจริญเติบโตที่สูงสุด 3 อันดับแรกได้แก่ ตะวันออกกลาง อเมริกาเหนือ และ เอเชีย สำหรับตลาดยุโรปซึ่งเป็นตลาดหลักของบริษัทฯ ยังคงสามารถรักษาอัตราการเติบโตไว้ได้ต่อเนื่อง”
“เมื่อเร็วๆ นี้ บริษัทฯ ได้เข้าร่วมทำสัญญาความตกลงเที่ยวบินร่วม (Codeshare Agreement) กับสายการบินเอมิเรตส์แอร์ไลน์และสายการบินแอร์แอสตานา ซึ่งการร่วมมือดังกล่าวทำให้บริษัทฯ สามารถเพิ่มศักยภาพการเชื่อมต่อระหว่างภูมิภาคยุโรปและประเทศไทยได้ดียิ่งขึ้น ไม่ว่าจะเป็นการเดินทางผ่านภูมิภาคตะวันออกกลางหรือจากภูมิภาคยุโรปกลางเข้าสู่ประเทศไทย ซึ่งถือเป็นการเพิ่มทางเลือกให้กับผู้โดยสารและเพิ่มศักยภาพทางการบินของทั้งบริษัทฯ และสายการบินร่วม”
“และตั้งแต่วันที่ 1 ธันวาคม ศกนี้ บริษัทฯ ยังได้มีการเพิ่มความถี่ของเที่ยวบินทั้งเส้นทางภายในประเทศและระหว่างประเทศ ได้แก่ สมุย-ภูเก็ต เป็น 45 เที่ยวบินต่อสัปดาห์ สมุย-สิงคโปร์ เป็น 12 เที่ยวบินต่อสัปดาห์ เชียงใหม่-ย่างกุ้ง เป็น 7 เที่ยวบินต่อสัปดาห์ และ เชียงใหม่-มัณฑะเลย์ เป็น 4 เที่ยวบินต่อสัปดาห์ และสำหรับเส้นทางใหม่ บริษัทฯ ยังอยู่ในขั้นตอนการศึกษาข้อมูลและเจรจาร่วมกันกับสายการบินท้องถิ่นในประเทศเพื่อนบ้าน อาทิ ประเทศเวียดนาม ประเทศเมียนมาร์ และ ประเทศจีน ถึงความร่วมมือใรการเปิดเส้นทางบินใหม่ไปยังแหล่งท่องเที่ยวที่มีศักยภาพในประแทศเหล่านี้อีกด้วย” นายพุฒิพงศ์กล่าวเสริม
เมื่อเร็วๆ นี้ สายการบินบางกอกแอร์เวย์ส ถูกจัดอันดับให้เป็น 1 ใน 50 สายการบินที่มีผลการดำเนินงานที่ดีที่สุดของโลก โดยอยู่ในอันดับที่ 24 ประจำปี 2558 ซึ่งจัดอันดับโดยนิตยสารแอร์ไฟแนนซ์ เจอนัล (Airfinance Journal) ของสหราชอาณาจักร
สำหรับจำนวนอากาศยานของบริษัทฯ ณ ปัจจุบัน มีจำนวนทั้งสิ้น 30 ลำ เป็นเครื่องบินแบบ ATR 72-500 และ ATR 72-600 จำนวน 11 ลำ และ แบบ Airbus 319 และ 320 จำนวน 19 ลำ

Bangkok Airways (BA) announces operating results
for the nine-month period of 2015
Bangkok / Recently – Bangkok Airways Public Company Limited announces its operating results for the nine-month period of 2015 which has the total revenue amounting to 18,661.3 million baht in which net profit was reported at 1,779.7 million baht; up by 1,024.3 percent from the same period of the previous year.
Mr. Puttipong Prasarttong-Osoth, President of Bangkok Airways PCL commented that, “In the third quarter, total revenue of the company was 6,364 million baht, increased by 20.4 percent from the same period in the previous year. Net profit was reported at the amount of 590.8 million baht in which the profit attributable to the equity holder of the Company was 578.6 million baht. Earnings per share equal to 0.28 baht. The better operating performance was mainly based on higher average fare and increasing number of passengers. The number of passengers of Bangkok Airways increased by 12 percent for the third quarter of 2015 (1.3 million passengers.) Our load factor was at 67.6 percent for this quarter, increased 4.9 percent point from the same period last year. For the first nine-month period, the company had total revenue amounting to 18,661.3 million baht in which net profit was reported at 1,779.7 million baht; up by 1,024.3 percent. The total number of passengers of Bangkok Airways for the nine-month period of 2015 is 3.8 million passengers. The market that has the highest growth was the Middle East, North America and Asia.”
“The company has recently entered into a codeshare agreement with Emirates and Air Astana. This partnership does not only help Bangkok Airways create a greater connectivity between Europe via the Middle East and directly from Central Europe and Thailand, it also provides more choices to passengers as well as increases the efficiency of our routes.
“In addition to that, starting from 1st of December 2015, we will increase our flight frequencies on Samui-Phuket route to 45 flights per week, Samui-Singapore route to 12 flights per week, Chiang Mai-Yangon route to 7 flights per week and Chiang Mai—Mandalay route to 4 flights per week. We are also currently in a talk with local carriers in the neighbor countries such as Vietnam, Myanmar and China about possibility of launching new services to new destinations” Mr. Puttipong added.
Recently, Bangkok Airways has been included in the top 50 airlines in the world by financial rating (ranked 24th). The evaluation and ranking was conducted by Airfinance Journal based in the United Kingdom.
Currently, Bangkok Airways has a total of 30 aircrafts; 11 of turbo-prop ATR72-500/600s, 19 of Airbus A319s/A320s.
